Mountain Majesty

The glory of the mountains is showcased in this unusual snowflake. Made of exotic purpleheart from Brazil and white maple from Indiana the repeated motif of a mountain silhouette and its frosty reflection creates a uniquely American snowflake. Purpleheart's natural purple color turns to a warm chocolate brown if exposed to ultraviolet light (sunlight). It is approximately 4" (90 mm) in diameter. The natural wood is finished with clear acrylic over shellac.
