The 96 little geometric pieces of this snowflake create a dazzling kaleidoscopic effect. This design was developed from a photograph of a real snowflake. It was an unusual snowflake because it had twelve instead of six points. The light honey brown wood is hard maple from Indiana and the reddish brown sections are black cherry from Vermont. The snowflake is approximately 4" (100 mm) in diameter and is finished with clear acrylic over shellac.
